Game Mechanics
A Resource Expedition Builder is a game mechanic that sends you on active expeditions into dangerous or unknown environments to collect any kind of material — wood, stone, metal, food, energy, or rare components. You directly interact with the world: chopping trees, harvesting crops, mining ore, or salvaging scrap from ruins. Resources are then brought back to a central hub where you construct new buildings, craft better tools, or upgrade your character's abilities. This creates a satisfying loop: gather, return, build, then venture out again with improved efficiency. The challenge comes from managing limited inventory space, avoiding hazards during expeditions, and deciding which resources to prioritize. Some games add tool durability, day‑night cycles that affect resource availability, or competing threats that interrupt your harvest.
